DOTP is a transparent viscous oily liquid. The performance characteristics and balance properties of DOTP have made it one of the most widely used plasticizer in vinyl formulations. DOTP is an excellent general purpose non-orthophtalate plasticizer with performance equal or better than most ortho-phthalate plasticizers. It offers good performance properties, excellent low temperature flexibility, resistance to extraction by soapy water, and excellent non-migration properties. In plastisols, DOTP results in low initial viscosity.
